Holiday message from the commander

Citizen Air Commandos,

With only a few days left in the year, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on what you’ve been able to accomplish in 2022.

In keeping with the 919th’s heritage, you continued to find ways to make things better for our Airmen and their families. You worked together, along with our community partners to host a celebration for the ages, honoring the Wing’s 50th Anniversary and welcoming over 3,000 members, families and local leaders to Duke Field. You excelled in our Unit Effectiveness Inspection earning an Effective rating in all major graded areas and subcategories.  You supported continuous mobilizations and 24/7/365 operations for our members six of our organizations.  And finally, you provided AFSOC with more than 20 percent (in many cases more than 40 percent) of its overall capacity in 10 different mission areas.

You also leaned forward under very difficult circumstances and continued the difficult task of transforming for the future while maintaining the highest state of readiness.

These are just a few of the highlights. Thank you for what you do for our country. I’m proud to be your commander and honored to have the privilege to serve with you. I wish you all a safe holiday season and a very Happy New Year!
