Chief Master Sergeant MARCIA D. EVANS Chief Master Sergeant Marcia D. Evans is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 919th Special Operations Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Duke Field, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. She is the senior enlisted leader for the Citizen Air Commandos of the Air Force Reserve Command’s only Special Operations Wing. She advises the commander on all matters pertaining to the health, morale, welfare, professional development, training, and effective management of over 1,700 Airmen. The 919th SOW performs the Air Force’s Expeditionary Combat Support mission as well as its Non-Standard Aviation programs utilizing the C-146A Wolfhound aircraft. Airmen assigned to the unit conduct flight instruction and deploy as required in the U-28, PC-12, AC-130J and C-146A aircraft. The wing also employs the MQ-9 remotely piloted aircraft in support of combatant commanders worldwide. Members of the 919th SOW also deliver full motion video processing, exploitation and dissemination to special operations forces engaged in combat and non-combat operations around the globe. Chief Evans entered the Air Force in August 1999, transitioning from active duty to the Air Force Reserve after four years of service. Her career encompasses experience in Knowledge Management and Cyber System Operations. Her previous roles include Cyber Systems Flight Chief and Squadron Superintendent. Prior to her current assignment, Chief Evans served as the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 919th Special Operations Communications Squadron, where she spearheaded the training and equipping of tactical communicators, enabling them to effectively support taskings. Her breadth of experience includes test and evaluation, where she supported operational testing crucial to the warfighter and provided communications support for the Weapon System Evaluation Program. Furthermore, she oversaw personnel across 14 Air Force Specialty Codes, encompassing intelligence, maintenance, communications, personnel, and aviation resource management. As a civilian, Chief Evans provides specialized system administration support for classified and sensitive systems crucial to the 96th Test Range Control Squadron's special programs. Responsibilities encompass the entire lifecycle of system administration, from installation and configuration to maintenance, troubleshooting, and security.
