DUKE FIELD, Fla. - The 919th Special Operations Wing at Duke Field began observing Hurricane Condition Three as of 4:30 p.m. Aug. 26 due to the threat of Hurricane Isaac. HURCON Three means destructive winds of 58 mph or greater are possible by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Duke Field normally follows Eglin's changing HURCON levels because it is a local tenant installation of Eglin Air Force Base.

Anticipating Isaac's arrival, the 919th SOW commander ordered the evacuation of Duke's MC-130E Combat Talon I aircraft to Fort Campbell, Ky.

Mission critical personnel: Aug. 28 and 29 mission critical personnel will report as directed by their commander.

Non-mission critical personnel: Aug. 28 and 29 non-mission critical personnel will not report to work.

Civilian personnel: administrative leave for non-mission critical personnel has been authorized by the 919th SOW commander for Aug. 28-29 starting Aug. 28 at 6 a.m.

All wing members in the storm-impacted area should monitor television or radio broadcasts for the latest storm updates. Supervisors should be contacted for any questions or concerns related to work schedules.
