Airmen put on your running boots.

The 919th Special Operations Wing hosts a speed mentoring event Nov. 6 between senior leadership and all other ranking Airmen.

The event is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the dining facility.

Airmen will spend a few minutes with each leadership mentor to ask questions and learn from their experiences before moving on to another advisor.

The goal of the event is to give leaders an opportunity to share their experiences with younger Airmen to help develop them personally and professionally, according to Capt. Julie Farrand, the event coordinator.

“Enlisted and officers are seldom taken under someone's wing to help guide them down the right path toward promotion,” said the captain from 919th Special Operations Wing inspector general office.  “Events like speed mentoring allows members to expand their pool of mentors to outside of their own squadron and gain different perspectives.”

The mentor and mentee sign up form is on the 919th SOW's sharepoint site.  Sign up ends at close of business Nov. 5.
