Resolute Sentinel 2023
Citizen Air Commandos from the 919th Special Operations Wing provided a wide range of C-146 airlift for Special Operations Forces during exercise Resolute Sentinel 23 in Peru from July 7-22, 2023. Reservists from Duke Field partnered with U.S. Air Force Special Warfare operators assigned to the Kentucky Air National Guard’s 123rd Special Tactics Squadron, the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group, Peru’s Defensa y Operaciones Especiales and other SOF assets to prepare forces and enhance stability throughout the region. Resolute Sentinel improved readiness of U.S. and partner nation military and interagency personnel through joint defense interoperability training, engineering projects and knowledge exchanges. MQ-9 Reaper shines radiantly beneath the stars
A U.S. Air Force MQ-9 Reaper conducts the first ever MQ-9 Reaper landing on a dirt landing zone during a training exercise near Fort Stockton, Texas, June 15, 2023. The nighttime landing on an unimproved surface was part of a larger Air Force Special Operations Command exercise involving members of the 26th Special Tactics Squadron from Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico.
