Extraction

Members of the 919th Security Forces Squadron retrieve a missing American during an extraction exercise at Duke Field, Fla., April 6. The Security Forces Airmen executed this training exercise with the trainees from the Development and Training Program. The DTP is an Air Force Reserve Command introductory program to help recruits prepare for military life prior to going to basic military training. The trainees were given a first-hand view of the procedures performed to recover American personnel from a downed aircraft in a hostile environment. They were able to participate as local nationals and the missing American personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Cheryl L. Foster)
