A 711th Special Operations Squadron MC-130E Combat Talon I from Duke Field, Fla. Conducts a ceremonial fly-over for an Air Commando Association memorial observance Oct. 10 at Hurlburt Field, Fla. The 30th anniversary memorial honored fallen special operators involved in Operations Desert One and Eagle Claw, the ill-fated attempt to rescue American hostages in Iran. Despite their tragic outcome the operations were credited as the catalyst that led to the formation of United States Special Operations Command and subsequently Air Force Special Operations Command.
