The last Monday in May is a day of remembrance and a time to pay tribute to all those who have served so valiantly to protect our freedoms and the American way of life.

As we enter into the Memorial Day weekend, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for your dedication, strength and support for our nation's defense. Each of you and your families have put service before self in order to support this wing's diverse and specialized mission. It is because of your selfless contributions that missions are completed, battles are won and America remains a free and prosperous nation.

So thank you again for bravely doing what you're called to do.

This Memorial Day, let us also remember those who have served, fought and died so we can enjoy freedom in abundance. Take a minute to reflect on the service of these heroes.

Let us never forget them and what they have done for our nation. Many gave their lives for something larger than themselves and, for that, we will forever be grateful. Our commitment to these heroes, and the families left behind, is to continue their legacy of service and ensure our military remains the finest fighting force the world has ever known.

Please be safe and enjoy the Memorial Day weekend. I am honored to serve with you and humbled to lead the 919th Special Operations Wing!
