A rendering of a twin float amphibious modification to an MC-130J Commando II is shown here. Air Force Special Operations Command and private sector counterparts are currently developing a Removable Amphibious Float Modification (RAFM) for the MC-130J, allowing aircraft to take off and land in bodies of water and conduct runway independent operations. Warm reunion

Tech. Sgt. Logan Everton embraces girlfriend, Kyleah Adamson, upon arriving home following a six-month deployment to Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. Everton is a reservist assigned to the 419th Maintenance Squadron, but he works full time as a plumber in Northern Utah. Adamson said this is the first time Everton has deployed since they’ve been together. “It was so hard as we’ve essentially had a text-only relationship for six months, because every time we tried to talk face-to-face we had technical difficulties,” she said. “I’m so glad to have him home and we’re looking forward to the holidays with our families.” (U.S. Air Force photo)
