Commander shares holiday greetings

DUKE FIELD, Fla. --  As we prepare to celebrate the upcoming holidays, I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for answering the call to defend our great nation.

Although our wing is mostly comprised of a part-time force, we are one of the few Reserve wings who, year after year, support 24/7 operations as guardians of freedom for all Americans.

The next several days will offer each of us an opportunity for reflection on our shared accomplishments as we prepare for the challenges and opportunities of 2019. Please take some time to thank the ones supporting you as you continue to support our mission. I encourage each of you to find a way to honor the sacrifices our families, friends, employers and communities make which brings such personal meaning to your continued service.

We should count among our blessings the many who have answered our nation’s call and are serving in support of combat operations around the world. Today, and every day, we thank them for their extraordinary courage and eagerly await their safe return home.

I wish each of you and your families the very best during the holiday season and know that your dedication and sacrifice are profoundly appreciated! I look forward to seeing each of you in the New Year.
