Eglin is in Health Protection Condition Bravo.  Below is the official and most current version of closures, cancellations and hour changes.

96th Medical Group

The Hospital has a single point of entry at the emergency room entrance.  Masks are required by ALL employees, patients and visitors.

Health screenings for all individuals prior to entering facility. Visitors with flu-like symptoms will not be permitted in the inpatient area.

Acute care concerns will continue to be addressed

Routine appointments will be booked in the future as the situation improves

Visitors must check in at the front desk.  Visitors who have travelled internationally are not permitted to visit 14 days after arrival to US.

Only one adult visitor allowed per patient in the following areas:

Pediatric inpatient and outpatient

Labor and post partum mothers

Outpatient and obstetrics patients that require a non-medical escort

Pre/post surgery (including outpatient procedures involving sedation)

Elderly patients and those who require care

End of life patients

Emergency room patients when necessary

Visitors should wash hands and maintain six feet separation.

MSU/ICU visiting hours:  7 a.m. – 5 p.m.


All pregnancy appointments continue.  All other appointment types are cancelled.

Drive-thru:  Mon-Fri 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m. – noon Pick up only

The Exceptional Family Medical Program office is closed for walk-in services until further notice.  The staff can be reached via phone at 850-883-9452 during office hours or through the email below.  Documents to be turned in can be done via email or through the drop box outside the office.  Email:

Effective July 7, Walk in service will no longer be available in the afternoons.  Walk in hours will be from 6:30 a.m. to noon weekdays.  Appointment times are unchanged and can be made by calling the Appointment Line (850) 883-8600, select option #1, then option #3.

Lobby and Customer Service – Closed.  Previously authorized camping permits will be honored.

Public Access Map may be intermittently unavailable over the next several weeks.  Please abide by the permanent closed areas delineated in the 2019-20 regulations handbook.  Daily closures will be administered by use of barriers, etc.

Recreational use permits may still be purchased at the website.

Brier Creek East Management Unit is closed.  Brier Creek West and South Management Units are open on weekends only.

Legal Office

Walk in services restricted.  Legal assistance provided to mission essential personnel in the following categories:

Deployers leaving within the next 30 days

Those in immediate danger of losing home, food, income or children

Those in need of a family care plan power of attorney.

Notaries restricted to survivor benefit plan documents

Unblock CACs

Issue new CACs to members who will expire within the next 30 days

Issue initial ID for members who are due to Separate/Retire

Update DEERs and issue ID, if applicable, with Birth, Divorce, or Marriage

Issue Dependent ID cards that expired 1 January 2020 – 30 April 2020

Issue initial Dependent ID (now have to be 14 years old for initial issue; the minimum age used to be 10 years)

Tri-Care Young adult initial issue– issuing an ID for Sponsors children between the age of 21-26 who are not enrolled into college

Full time college student that turns 21 – sponsor will need to bring dependent's full time student status letter from the registrar’s office

Retirees who turn 65 for Medicare enrollment


Issue new CAC to members that have more than 30 days remaining to expiration

Issue new CAC/Dependent/Retiree ID to anyone for the sole purpose of info change like new name due to marriage or divorce or change in rank

An appointment is required for the above categories and will be limited and first come first serve as they are prioritizing initial and expired Common Access Cards (CAC). Email or call (850) 882-6365 to schedule an appointment.
