Commander issues Memorial Day message

Citizen Air Commandos,

The last Monday of May is a sacred day for America as the nation honors generations of heroes who have sacrificed their lives to defend our freedoms.

The gratitude we feel is visible on Memorial Day in ceremonies and gatherings throughout communities across the Nation in recognition of the price paid by men and women who have died in the line of duty.

Today and every day, you continue to fight for the causes they held dear. You demonstrate uncommon courage, dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence so that our country will continue to be the greatest nation on earth.

Please remember Memorial Day also marks the beginning of Summer. It is a time of year that typically has the highest accident rates. Please be safe in all your summertime activities.

I am grateful for your commitment to service. I am honored to serve with each and every one of you.

Never forget those who have gone before us.
