Communities throughout the United States will pause today to show their gratitude to service members past and present on Veterans Day. It’s a day of honor.

Veteran’s Day is about what happens when we have achieved our objective in combat and when our sons and daughters who have fought our nation’s wars come home. There will be ceremonies and parades in large cities and small towns to honor these humble warriors. Make an effort to attend one of these events and take a few minutes to find a veteran to thank for what he or she did to pave the way for the rest of us.

These humble men and women served selflessly and did not ask for any recognition in return, yet they deserve our utmost respect.

Let us also remember our SOF brothers and sisters who are currently deployed around the globe. Veterans Day is a perfect day to reach out and check on them and the loved ones they left behind.

Thank you and your families for the sacrifices you make daily and know that I am honored to serve with each and every one of you!
