Citizen Air Commandos,

As we prepare to celebrate the upcoming holidays, I’d like to extend my sincere appreciation for all you do to keep our Nation safe.

This has been a challenging year to say the least. Through it all, your innovation and can-do attitude has enabled us to continue our support to the warfighter whenever and wherever needed.

In the coming days, please take time to thank the ones who make it possible for you to train and respond to the call of duty. They are the unsung heroes who often toil behind the scenes but play a vital role in the success of the 919th Special Operations Wing.

You and your family’s willingness to stand watch here at home and around the globe is the epitome of what it means to be a Quiet Professional and a fitting tribute in the 50th Anniversary of the Wing’s activation here at Duke Field.

From my family to yours, I wish you all the joy the holiday season has to offer.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Col. Jason "LOCO" Grandy
