Col. Steve Chapman, 919th Special Operations Wing commander, listens as Capt. Kirstin Glaser, 919th Logistics Readiness Squadron, makes welcoming remarks during Thursday's grand re-opening ceremony for Duke Field's fully renovated visiting quarters. He later cut the ribbon on the three-story lodging facility after an 18-month, $5.6 million renovation project he said brought state-of-the-art amenities to a facility that for years failed to meet Air Force lodging standards. The renovation, funded by Air Force Reserve Command, features 48 private rooms with full baths, queen-size beds, two handicapped-accessible rooms, a guest elevator and a lobby business center with computer access, a beverage bar and numerous other amenities.
