Combat action honored

Senior Airman Thomas Adamo, Jr. (right), 919th Security Forces Squadron fire team member, is presented the Air Force Combat Action Medal by Col. Gary Nelson, 919th Mission Support Group commander, Saturday at Spectre Hall for his actions under fire while deployed on active duty in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Serving as a 50-caliber gunner, Airman Adamo's defensive actions during an ambush on his convoy helped ensure his team suffered no casualties or loss of equipment.
