Civic Leader Tour

The 403rd Wing Public Affairs at Keesler Air Force Base, MS, hosted the 919th Special Operations Wing Civic Leader Tour on 7 October 2008. This tour gave the Civic Leaders a glimpse of the ongoing changes taking place at Keesler AFB after Hurricane Katrina. This tour also shows the distinctive role that the Hurricane Hunters play, as they are the only Reserve Componet that supports the National Weather Center during hurricane season. The leaders received several mission briefings and viewed static displays of the new "P-19" Fire Truck along with the "Hurricane Hunter" WC-130J. (U.S. Air Force Photo by 2nd Lt. Joe Pearce.)
