Staff Sgt. Samantha Brown, 919th Operations Support Squadron information management journeyman, reviews documents pertaining to the April unit training assembly April 7. Her numerous duties include the management of the Unit Training Assembly Participation System, where she ensures that members' participation for performing duty is accurate. The Smyrna, Ga., native is currently working toward a sports medicine degree and regularly supports her unit by performing mandays. "Sergeant Brown is highly motivated," said Master Sgt. Adele Ruiz, 919th OSS commander's support staff noncommissioned officer in charge. "I give her tasks and I don't have to worry; it's always done correct the first time, every time." Double identity
Tech. Sgt. Diana McCarty, 919th Mission Support Flight customer service chief, scans Michael Howard's fingerprint as a form of identification for a new ID card. Servicemembers requesting new ID cards are now required to present two forms of ID before being issued a new card. Acceptable forms of ID include an expired military ID card, driver's license, social security card, passport, birth certificate, or permament resident card.

Tech. Sgt. Dan Alford, 919th Communications Squadron radio communications systems craftsman, performs radio systems checks with airborne radio operators. He is his unit's deployment manager and personal wireless communications systems manager. In his civilian job, he is a telecommunications specialist at Eglin Air Force Base. Chief Master Sgt. Rocky Hart, 919th Special Operations Wing command chief, sells samples of chili to prospective voters at the Santa Rosa Mall Chili Cook-off held Feb. 9 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Kim's Commando Chili, named for its cook, Master Sgt. Kim Sayer, 919th Maintenance Operations Flight, took first place in the competition for best judge's choice chili and third for team showmanship.
