  • ADLS training transitions to “myLearning”

    As part of Air Education and Training Command’s efforts to aggressively and cost-effectively modernize education and training, Airmen and Guardians can access the “myLearning” digital platform on the Air Force Portal beginning March 18, with the first phase consisting of a modernized and interactive training platform that allows Airmen to access training modules previously found on the Advanced Distributed Learning Service (ADLS).

  • SOLRS Airmen support the aerial delivery mission

    The 919th Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron has a team of aerial transportation specialists who provide for the aerial delivery mission. They assist our aerial training missions, total force partners, and partner nations by packing, rigging, transporting, and collecting cargo for flights. In a deployed environment this would mean transporting goods to austere locations and over enemy territory.
  • AFSOC Hosts Emerald Warrior 21

    Air Force Special Operations Command is hosting this year’s Emerald Warrior exercise at multiple locations from February 16 to March 5. This joint exercise provides realistic and relevant training to prepare special operations forces, conventional forces, and international partners for crises and contingencies.
  • Department of the Air Force Leaders direct second IG Disparity Review

    The review follows the department’s 2020 Racial Disparity Review released in Dec. 2020 and expands its focus into three additional racial categories (Asian, American Indian/Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander), gender, and one additional ethnic category (Hispanic/Latinx).

  • AFSOC Cyber Squadron Initiative: Arming for the 21st century battle

    Air Force Special Operations Command hosted a Mission Defense Team Conference, Feb. 2-5, 2021, focusing on identifying the organic cyber capabilities needed to protect missions against threats in, through, and from cyberspace. Gen. David Goldfein, former Chief of Staff of the Air Force, signed the Cyber Squadron Initiative Program Action Directive, May 12, 2020. This historic event, five years in the making, ushered in the single largest change in Air Force, charging the Air and Space Force with transforming current communication squadrons into cyber squadrons.
